This is where color comes into play

Color treatment ex works:

SKAN HOLZ offers a color treatment ex works for many products. Your advantage: You can start assembly immediately after delivery.

Patio roofs, carports, pavilions and canopies:

We use untreated solid structural timber, glued laminated timber and Douglas fir as well as spruce impregnated with salts as standard. This gives you every opportunity to customize the colour and provide comprehensive weather protection. For these products, we offer you a primer including a lightfast, colored first coat. The glaze is applied by machine brushing the wooden parts on four sides. For technical reasons, marks cannot be avoided.

TREND" garden sheds:

We use Nordic spruce for our log houses. The logs and corner panels are color-treated on the outside, the roof panels as well as windows and doors on both sides. The inside of the logs as well as the cut edges, floor, roof boarding and purlins are untreated for production reasons. The paint is applied by machine spraying on three sides. All untreated parts of the kit attached to the outside (e.g. roof undersides or roof purlins protruding outside) are unprotected and must be treated with primer on site and then at least once with glaze. Please also observe the glaze manufacturer's instructions.

CrossCube:

The construction consists of weather-resistant, cement-bonded wood fiber panels and a wooden frame. The façade panels are color-treated on the outside and primed on the inside. The wooden frames are painted slate gray. Like a house façade, the façade panels require regular painting to compensate for the effects of weathering. Weathering, efflorescence, small cracks or green deposits, which also occur on house façades, are possible.

Good to know

Any damage to our coating caused by transportation or assembly can be evened out using the supplied glaze (repair quantity). The wood surface can be further refined on site by intermediate sanding with fine-grained sandpaper and an additional coat of paint.

Wood in outdoor areas is exposed to constant weathering. We therefore recommend applying renovation coats with a water-based wood stain at maintenance intervals of approx. 4 - 5 years, but at the latest before visible damage occurs. Please note that we can only supply kits made of impregnated spruce and Douglas fir in a darker color due to their nature.

To determine the amount of paint required, multiply the wooden surface of the kit by 80 ml glaze/sqm. Double the quantity for the primer. This requirement may vary depending on dryness, primers or processing. The wood surfaces can be found in our technical product descriptions.
