SKAN HOLZ Europe GmbH is committed to making its websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG). We are constantly working to make our digital offerings as user-friendly and accessible as possible.

This accessibility statement applies to the websites www.skanholz.com, www.shop.skanholz.com, www.konfigurator.skanholz.com, www.konfigurator-skanholz.com, and all associated subdomains (including the 3D configurator).

Despite our intensive efforts to make our websites fully accessible online, we have not yet achieved full accessibility. Due to the following exceptions and areas, the websites are currently only partially compliant with legal requirements.

Content that is not accessible:

The content or sections listed below are not accessible, or are only partially accessible, for technical or design reasons:

  • Complex technical terminology: Wood as a material, woodworking, and technical construction manuals for buildings make technical terms (e.g., from the field of timber construction) unavoidable. Therefore, it is not possible to use consistently accessible, plain language in all areas.
  • Alternative text for images: Alternative text for images and graphics cannot always fully convey the meaning of a complex, highly detailed image, especially in technical applications.
  • Video Content: Videos embedded via streaming do not currently have subtitles or audio descriptions throughout.
  • Online Store: The section of our website at www.shop.skanholz.com currently has an accessibility score of 8 on Google Lighthouse
  • 3D Configurator: Due to system limitations, one of the accessible features of our configurator (www.konfigurator.skanholz.com) cannot be implemented. The configurator includes freely configurable three-dimensional models that are displayed on the screen in real time and can be edited simultaneously. The simultaneous conversion of freely created images, resulting sectional drawings, prices, and other dynamic parameters into text format, alternative text, screen reader formats, or voice output is technically not feasible for us or would impose a disproportionate burden. Alternatively, we offer assistance via chat, phone, or requestable checklists for custom orders that customers can fill out themselves. This applies to all websites and subdomains with the following structure:
